Handara Kosaido Country Club is
one of the greatest golf courses
in the world. This 18 - hole, 72
par championship course is masterfully
designed by famous international
golfer and course architect Peter
Thomson, Michael Wolveridge and
associates in 1974.
At 7.024 yards, colorful flowers and
many well-placed flamboyan trees add
splashes of red to the greens and
blues. Golfers can hone their game
nearby at the 250 yard driving range
or the practice bunkers, chipping
and putting green. Nestled in the
crater of a volcano, the course is
one of the most challenging in Asia
and is a treat for the discerning
golfer. Surrounded by tropical forest,
and with commanding views of the nearby
lake, a round at Bali Handara is one
of the highlights of a Bali Holiday.
IIn 1981, Golf Magazine named it as
'One of the 50 Greatest Holes in the
World' and since then it has enjoyed
a reputation of being a panoramic
green. The 100-hectare course is fairly
demanding with the longest green in
Bali.
